La Panier's Macarons

We got to eat macarons from Kristi Drake's bakery last weekend as my brother Eric and T-Jay (the light of his life I must add), hung out on a very foggy day downtown and they brought a box of them to the party, perfection! Oh my, melt in your mouth yummy!  Get yourself down to the Le Panier Very French Bakery at the Pike Place Market, try to stop at just macarons! Dare ya!

The real deal.

This week on Pinterest I found an awesome tutorial for making plaster macaron ornaments, they look sooo real. Here is her link to a really cool blog called Paper Plate and Plane'

A lovely Wikipedia picture for you

History of Laduree's Macaron's  is an interesting quick read.

So next time you are in Paris, Laduree's looks like the place to go!  But you might want to ask Kristi Drake herself as she goes a couple times a year to keep her bakery hopping!
