We got us another UW graduate! We are so very happy for our kiddo.
A BS in Biology is no small thing, it is where you get to learn many different disciplines to get this degree.
Kirstin added in a Minor in Scandinavian Area Studies as well. Rockstar!

Do Koi smell flowers?

According to legend, a Koi who can scale a waterfall
can be transformed into a beautiful golden dragon.

Ok, maybe just going for a nibble not a sniff?

Spring arriving at Seattle's Japanese Garden,
one of the oldest and most authentic in the US

Spring at the Volunteer Park Conservatory

The Volunteer Park Conservatory is one of my happy places and this spring I brought along Kristi to share this with. It was good to walk around the neighborhood and just absorb the beautiful sunny day!

I will keep practicing taking panoramic shots with my phone!

There are always surprises blooming here as well

So many shades of green.

Glasshouses, Greenhouses, Orangeries, feel so full of life

Wandering around a favorite garden nursery, happy happy joy joy

I think I will let these pictures speak for themselves,
driving past tulip and daffodil fields to get here was a icing on the cake!

Tulips and Daffodils

Just some photos from Roozengaarde this April.
Kristi and I dropped in midweek at the height of the season,
after a stop at Christianson's Garden and Nursery of course!

It was a little breezy, hahahaha

Visiting a feed and mercantile in the city

Last weekend our family visited Portage Bay Grange Feed and Mercantile, is an amazing store for homesteading in the city, conveniently located in the U-district of  North Seattle. What a great resource for not only supplies but knowledge as well. We will be back for sure! We see some chickens in our future...

Oh you know, been over at IG for awhile now

Instagram.  That is where I have been.  It is so easy to post a pic from my phone and not have to find too many words to write about, I let the photos do the talking.  Go check it out. lisaolson2020
